Upon arrival, please remain on the bus until a Science Museum liaison comes out to greet you. Our staff will meet you on the bus and discuss safety protocols with your group.

Lunch

If you have reserved a lunchtime, we will provide carts to store your group’s lunch bags. The lunch space is in the Education Commons on Level 2. Chaperones

Chaperones must stay with their students at all times and are responsible for the conduct of the students they are accompanying. We require one chaperone for every 10 students, but will admit chaperones for free up to a 1:5 chaperone to student ratio.

We recommend letting chaperones and field trip leaders know your itinerary for the day ahead of time, including:

  • Lead chaperone contact information
  • Field trip arrival and departure times
  • Lunchtime (if applicable)
  • Omnitheater show time (if applicable)
  • Learning objectives for the day (explore our Educator Guides here)
  • Science Museum general info line: (651) 221-9444

Parking for chaperones is not provided. If a chaperone is transporting students for a field trip they can receive discounted parking in the Science Museum ramp. Talk to a staff member when you arrive for a discount voucher.
