Field Trips

The museum’s IDEAL Center provides professional development in Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Access, and Leadership for individuals and organizations. Choose from customizable or ready-made workshops designed to empower you as an agent of change.
Lending Library
The Lending Library offers educators and educational institutions a curated collection of materials to check out and use for engaging students across various scientific subjects. Schools, districts, and organizations can purchase memberships to access the Lending Library, receive expert training, and enjoy additional benefits.
Vikings Voyage
This unique field trip experience, in partnership with the Minnesota Vikings Foundation, demonstrates how football combines athletic ability, dedication, and passion with extensive science, technology, engineering, and math! Field trips in the fall take place at U.S. Bank Stadium, while spring trips are at the Science Museum of Minnesota.

InspireCT
Computational thinking (CT) encompasses practices used in computing to frame problems, create solutions, and understand technology’s impact. InspireCT: Inspiring STEM Learning through Applied Computational Thinking is a multi-year initiative designed to expand equitable and effective computational thinking education across classrooms.
