Discover the STEM principles that power Vikings football. This unique educational experience, brought to you by the Minnesota Vikings Foundation and the Science Museum of Minnesota, demonstrates how football combines athletic ability, dedication, passion with extensive science, technology, engineering, and math! 

Come explore Minnesota’s beloved football team while motivating students to engage with, participate in, and apply STEM concepts. Field trips in the fall take place at U.S. Bank Stadium, while spring trips are at the Science Museum. 

Fall field trips to the stadium are fully booked. Stay tuned for spring availability.

Before Your Museum Visit

We are so glad you’re joining us for Vikings Voyage at the Science Museum of Minnesota. Here are some tips and tricks to know before your Voyage begins!

Confirmation of final count

Final confirmation of head count is due two weeks prior to the date of your visit. 

Chaperone policy

We ask all groups to bring one adult chaperone for every five students attending the Vikings Voyage at the Science Museum.

Teams

To allow for the best experience for your students, please split your group into two teams: Purple and White. The two teams will alternate between Vikings Voyage STEM activities and exploring the museum exhibits. You know your students best, so we request that educators identify the teams prior to arrival.

Drop-off and pick-up

Please plan to arrive at your confirmed time. Buses will arrive at the Education Entrance at Eagle and Chestnut Streets. Please remain on the bus; a staff member will join you on board for a greeting and quick orientation.

Get your money back! To expedite receiving your bus reimbursement, please complete a W-9 for your school ahead of time and send it to [email protected].

Lunches

Museum staff will collect lunches upon arrival and store them in our field trip lunch space. When your Voyage is over, you can pick up your lunch bags while returning to the bus.

Accessibility accommodations

Your Voyage will take you all over the Science Museum of Minnesota. Please let us know in advance if members of your group require accessibility accommodations.

Staying safe

The health and safety of all who participate in Vikings Voyage is our top priority. Here’s what you can expect for safety protocols during your visit:

  • If you need immediate assistance on the day of your trip, please call (651) 221-9444.
  • Please stick with your group and listen closely to the instructions of your group leaders.
  • Please keep food in designated spaces only.

Before Your Stadium Visit

We are so glad you’re joining us for Vikings Voyage at US Bank Stadium. Here are some tips and tricks to know before your Voyage begins!

Prior to your visit

All students and adult chaperones must sign the stadium waiver (Spanish) to participate in the field trip. Waivers must be signed by an adult guardian and may be submitted electronically in advance or in person on the day of the field trip.

Drop-off and pick-up

Please plan to arrive thirty minutes before your first scheduled activity. Buses will arrive at the at the Legacy Gate on Chicago Avenue. Please remain on the bus; a staff member will join you on board for a greeting and quick orientation.

Get your money back! To expedite receiving your bus reimbursement, please complete a W-9 for your school ahead of time and send it to [email protected].

Lunches

Staff will collect lunches before your group enters U.S. Bank Stadium and transport them to the Vikings Voyage space. There will be space there to store backpacks and jackets, as well.

All of your gear will meet you back at the bus when your voyage is over.

Your Voyage will take you all over U.S. Bank Stadium. Please let us know in advance if members of your group require accessibility accommodations.

Staying safe

The health and safety of all who participate in Vikings Voyage is our top priority. Here’s what you can expect for safety protocols during your visit:

  • If you need immediate assistance on the day of your trip, please call (651) 421-6736.
  • All persons entering the stadium will walk through a security checkpoint.
  • Only factory sealed water bottles are allowed.
  • Video is prohibited inside U.S. Bank Stadium.
