Partners

Everyone should be able to see themselves in science! To ensure greater museum access for everyone, the Science Museum offers a variety of access programs, including our Great Partners program. 

Great Partners is a coupon-based program with the goal of providing greater access to the Science Museum of Minnesota. We partner with more than 100 nonprofits, school programs, and other community organizations to help expand the reach of our income-based access rate, Great Tix. Each participating Great Partner receives a coupon to share among the people they serve who qualify for the $3 per person Great Tix rate.

Great Partner Coupon Instructions

Qualifying Individuals

Great Partners organizations can distribute coupons to anyone they serve who qualify for our Great Tix rate:

  • Individuals or heads of household who are eligible to enroll in one or more of the following programs: TANF | MFIP | WIC | General Assistance | Medical Assistance | MinnesotaCare | Supplemental Security Income | Social Security Disability Benefits | Food Stamps | Section 8 | Free/Reduced Price School Meals
  • We do not require verification or proof of qualifying.

Distribution

For current Great Partners: To validate the coupon, sign your name, print the client’s name, and distribute. 

Distribute one coupon per family/client. The coupons are reusable for the time period listed on the coupon. If they lose it, you may give them another one.

Coupon Tracking

For tracking purposes, please make sure that your clients are using your organization’s coupon. Do not share your coupon with other organizations. If you partner with organizations that might be interested in becoming Great Partners please direct them to contact us to be set up as a Great Partner.

Ticket Redemption

The coupon functions as an instruction sheet. You can use the coupon to access the Great Tix rate either online or through our Contact Center at (651) 221-9444. The coupons are reusable and there is no limit on the number of visits within the time period listed on the coupon.

We strongly encourage advanced reservations, but we recognize that not everyone has consistent access to means to do so. If you bring in the coupon, we can redeem it for a ticket at our in-person Visit Desk. 

Visitors can show the coupon to receive 10% off their purchase in the Explore Store.
