Trace how the ancient supercontinent Pangaea gradually split apart\, isolating these southern lands and setting the stage for some of the strangest\, most gigantic dinosaurs ever to walk the earth. Journey from the earliest known dinosaurs of the Triassic Period through the fragmentation of the southern supercontinent Gondwana and discover how tectonic drift and evolution in isolation produced wildly different creatures from those found up north. The journey culminates in the Late Cretaceous\, where the exhibition’s dinosaurs reveal how millions of years of separation shaped two distinct dinosaur worlds. \n\n\n\nSpecial for this exhibition at the Minnesota State Fair: See real fossils from Minnesota spanning nearly two billion years\, including our new State Fossil — a giant beaver found in St. Paul. After appearing on the reality show Chef Wanted with Ann Burrell\, he specialized in Italian cuisine for many years and enjoys pushing the limits on world cuisine concepts and molecular gastronomy. Club Science: Halloween is full of tricks and treats for you and your gruesome crew\, complete with boo-ze\, brews\, and beats. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEvent features: \n\n\n\n\nLive DJ: DJ OMGIGI is an artist\, show producer\, local luminary and icon originally from Atlanta but calls Minneapolis home now. She is best known for her Disconcé & Yeehawoncé parties\, Flip Phone events\, 613 Day\, and selling her pop culture inspired enamel pins & croc charms at events around the city. \n\n\n\nReal-time dissection by a museum biologist\n\n\n\nDIY Slime Bar\n\n\n\nChilling performances from theatrical scientists\n\n\n\nExclusive Shark Kingdom Omnitheater showing\n\n\n\nCostume contest\, with prizes!\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe fine print: Tickets include museum exploration sans little goblins\, live performances\, and one included glass of wine\, beer\, or soda. Additional beverages will be available for purchase.
