Downtown Riverwalk Inauguration

Celebrate the inauguration of the Downtown Riverwalk, a vibrant two-mile loop connecting downtown Saint Paul and the Mississippi River. For generations, the Mississippi River has shaped St, Paul’s identity, and the Downtown Riverwalk will bring that connection into everyday life by creating new ways to experience the river city together.

Explore the Riverwalk at your own pace as parks, plazas, and riverfront spaces come alive with food, live music, guided walks, hands-on activities, and stories about the people, places, and history that shaped St. Paul as a river capital. The route stretches from the Science Museum of Minnesota along Shepard Road and Kellogg Boulevard, linking some of downtown’s most iconic spaces — all connected by new wayfinding and river views.
