The fine print: Tickets include museum exploration sans little goblins, live performances, and one included glass of wine, beer, or soda. Additional beverages will be available for purchase. Shark Kingdom showing an additional fee ($5).
Disguise disclaimer: Don’t get caught aghast at the door — every attendee must be 21 or older with a valid ID. Our boo-uncers will be checking ID cards upon entry. All costumes are subject to review upon arrival. Museum staff reserve the right to deny entry or ask for modifications to ensure safety and community standards.
Costume rules and guidelines:
- No Real Weapons: All props must be clearly fake and made from safe materials (foam, plastic, etc.). No sharp edges or projectiles.
- Face Visibility Required: Full-face masks and face paint that cover your entire face are not permitted. Partial masks are okay.
- Watch the Bulk: Avoid large wings, tails, armor, or anything that takes up lots of space or risks damaging exhibits.
- No Wheels, Please: Roller skates, Heelys, scooters, and hoverboards are not allowed inside the museum.
- Lights, Smoke, Sound – Maybe Not: Costumes that include fog machines, strobe lights, or loud effects may be turned away. When in doubt, ask staff at the door.
- No Messy Materials: Glitter, confetti, fake blood that drips, or anything that sheds is a no-go—they can damage exhibits and create safety hazards.
- Respect Others’ Space: This is a crowded event. Keep your costume manageable and maneuverable.
