Nerissa Russell
Nerissa Russell is an archaeologist from Cornell University and, along with Louise
Martin, is Co-Director of the team that studies the faunal (animal) remains at
Çatalhöyük. Besides the usual study of the fragmented bone remains of animals used for
food, Nerissa studies tools and ornaments made from animal bones, including points
(awls), needles, rings and pendants.
